The Accounting Manager will perform all or some of the following Job description:

• Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of accounting information and apply principles of accounting in compliance with state and federal regulations

• Oversee all accounting activities including the close process, reconciliations, income statement analysis and related internal controls for related area of responsibility

• Ensure that relevant financial information is accurately reflected in the financial statements and communicated effectively with company senior management

• Partner with business owners to perform analysis and research to ensure accurate accounting and preparation of summary level analytics and applicable reporting for senior leadership

• Supervise, coach and develop a team of accounting staff

• . Improve processes by identifying and implementing improvement opportunities

• Work closely with the Assistant Controller to develop and maintain a system of internal controls necessary to ensure the highest Controllership standards

• Work with Financial Planning and Analysis team to analyze business results, opportunities and support the planning and forecasting processes

• Research of financial accounting issues including the preparation of white papers documenting findings.

• 5+ years accounting experience including 2+ years managerial experience, process improvement, data analysis, transaction processing

• Thorough knowledge of Excel and Access functionality

• Experience in managing financial close process

• Experience managing personnel and developing talent

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex service environment

• Ability to effectively manage communication, negotiate successful

• 4-year degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience

• Certified Public Accountant
