The Accounting Senior Analyst will perform all or some of the following Job description:

• Prepare various journal entries at month end to facilitate close of monthly general ledger

• Create appropriate workpapers that support journal entries and will be easily understood by reviewers, auditors, etc.

• Prepare reconciliation of company Expense System download to the General Ledger

• Respond to questions or inquiries from management concerning charges within their expense center

• Perform procedures related to indirect cost allocations including running allocation process in accounting system, documenting indirect cost pool structure, and making changes as requested to the pool structure

• Review published policies and procedures on an annual basis and update or modify as needed

• Maintain monthly fixed asset listing

• Ensure invoice copies are obtained and filed for all furniture, office equipment or computer related equipment purchases, whether capitalized or expensed

• Complete annual property tax returns

• Perform reconciliation of fixed asset accounts

• Maintain supporting documentation for all facilities expenses processed by property management company

• Review of CIT charges for accuracy and validity

• Work with internal or external auditors to facilitate completion of audits of the monthly closing and fixed asset processes

• Independently develop policies and procedures

• Explain new and complex information to others in a manner easy to understand.

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or 3 to 5 years significant experience

• Experience with automated database systems and PC applications, such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access, and integration techniques with accounting software.
