Accounts Payable Associate Job Description

 

 

 

 

Job Description:

The Accounts Payable Associate will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Work in a shared services account payable department, responsible for processing payables for multiple locations

  • Develop and maintain the vendor master files

  • Maintain vendor relationships through timely payments and excellent service

  • Ensure clear and updated communications with all departments regarding Company policies and procedures

  • Prepare accounts payable register and transactions

  • Vouch payables in legacy systems - resolve discrepancies

  • Assist in preparing year end 1099's and timely filing of sales and use tax

  • Complete data validation processes

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Accounts Payable Associate Job

  • 3-5 years relevant work experience with accounts payable

  • Ability to work with a team

  • Proven track record of vouching and researching discrepancies of invoices in a timely manner

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Familiar with a variety of multiple locations and shared services business concepts, best practices and procedures

  • MacPac and PeopleSoft financial application experience a plus

  • Oracle experience a plus.

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Accounts Payable Associate Job

  • Associates degree or equivalent accounts payable experience.
