Job Summary:
The
Accounts Payable Manager will be
responsible for managing the accounts
payable and vendor master functions in
the Company. This management position is
responsible for the mission, vision and
goals along with the day-to-day
execution of accounts payable,
disbursement and vendor master
functions. Position ensures that service
level commitments are met; that the
Company’s business process execution and
change initiatives support the
enterprise’s strategic objectives; that
continuous process improvement is
assessed and implemented. Job

The
Accounts Payable Manager will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:

The
Accounts Payable Manager will manage a staff of over 40, including
2 supervisors and a trainer. This
includes: evaluating, training,
hiring and disciplining staff.

He/She will assess staffing workload and job
assignment along with re-defining
job descriptions as needed
-
Foster a client-focused environment.
Ensure client requirements and
expectations are executed timely and
accurately, along with verifying
that issues are resolved to the
clients satisfaction
-
The
Accounts Payable Manager will implement an automated image and
workflow technology process
-
He/She will continue to identify opportunities
to automate manually intensive tasks
as well as identify other ways to
improve productivity
-
The
Accounts Payable Manager will Work
with the Treasury Department in
implementing and executing ACH
capability
-
He/She will develop, monitor, and publish
metrics to ensure service level
commitments are met
-
The
Accounts Payable Manager will assist in developing system reports
thereby providing managers critical
data in order to maximize
opportunities
-
Complete responsibility of the
address book
-
Assure AP department is SOX
compliant
-
He/She will ensure that the Company’s written
processes and procedures are
documented and current
-
The
Accounts Payable Manager will work
with corporate and field management
to resolve business process
breakdowns
-
He/She will perform other
responsibilities include managing:
1099 reporting, positive pay,
department budget, stop payments,
and disbursements.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill
For Accounts Payable Manager Job
-
The
Accounts Payable Manager should have 5+
years of experience managing staff,
preferably in a shared service
environment
-
He/She should have 5+
years of AP experience, with a
proven record of responsibility and
growth
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office,
including Excel
-
He/She should have good knowledge
and experience of JD
Edwards and Oracle Business
Intelligence tool
-
The
Accounts Payable Manager must
possess solid
understanding of the procurement to
payment cycle
-
He/She should have outgoing personality and
client-focused approach to
management
-
The
Accounts Payable Manager must have
the ability to work in a fast paced and
high volume environment
-
Possess strong business acumen and excellent communications and
interpersonal skills.
