The
Cashier - Part Time will obtain or
receive merchandise, total bill, accept
payment, and make change for customers
in retail store.

Cashier - Part Time will perform
all or some of the following Job

Operate cash register to record all
transactions

Direct customers to merchandise
requested

Assist customers by phone or in
person and respond to requests for
orders or information for product or
services

Answer customer's questions
concerning location, price, and use
of merchandise

Complete forms, determine charges
for service or merchandise
requested, collect deposits, prepare
order and delivery records and
complete merchandise returns

Solicit sale of new or additional
services or products

Respond to complaints by acting
within guidelines or requesting
assistance from supervisors or
managers.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill
For Cashier - Part Time Job

Ability to add, subtract, multiply,
and divide in all units of measure,
using whole numbers, common
fractions, and decimals

Ability to compute rate, ratio, and
percent and to draw and interpret
bar graphs.
