Description:
The
Director Accounting Operations will perform all or
some of the
following Job description:
-
Responsible
for maintaining general ledger
accounts and related activities for
the production of financial
statements and reports
-
Administer segment account
reconciliations process
-
Perform account reconciliations and
analyses, prepare journal entries
and review accounting
classifications, in accordance with
generally-accepted accounting
principles (GAAP)
-
Analyze and prepare financial
statements, including balance sheets
and statements of financial position
-
Involved in the monthly/quarterly
'close' process
-
Prepare documentation in support of
external and internal audits
-
Manage and process overhead
allocations across segment business
units
-
Provide leadership to and is
accountable for the performance and
direction through multiple layers of
management and senior level
professional staff
-
Perform oversight of Sarbanes-Oxley
framework at the segment level (both
IT and Business controls) as well as
oversight of SAS 70s and internal
audit.

Public Accounting experience
-
Sarbanes-Oxley, SAS 70, or other
relevant internal controls
experience

Ability to lead, manage change and
influence teams

Knowledge of financial principles,
practices, and procedures as applied
to complex assignments

Provide necessary leadership and
guidance to senior management
-
Accountable for various recurring
and ad hoc deliverables to internal
/ external customers
-
Strong written and verbal
communication skills

Effective and efficient
problem-solving capabilities
-
Experience leading functional or
segment teams or projects
-
Experience with systems
implementations and/or systems audit
procedures. preferred.
