The
Finance Cost Accounting Specialist will perform all or
some of the
following Job description:
-
Accounting & Financial Reporting
functions include General Ledger
Close, Internal Controls Over
Financial Reporting, Fixed Assets
Accounting and Asset Management,
Accounting Research and Analysis,
Statutory and Regulatory reporting,
and Data Security
-
Monthly closings, financial
analysis, oversight/management of
controls and compliance, and GFS
data security
-
Manage Cost Accounting System and
provide tax and cash projections to
leadership
-
Lead,
manage and enable the construction
of fiscal-year forward pricing rates
for government contracts and oversee
the preparation of annual incurred
cost submissions
-
Manage the preparation and
maintenance of Cost Accounting
System (CAS) disclosure statements
-
Assist the company with the
accumulation of costs in the
appropriate general ledger accounts;
oversee the preparation and analysis
of the account balance
reconciliation report to determine
if ledger balances are properly
stated
-
Oversee and prepare audit filings
and support
-
Collaborate and work closely with
the Partnership Tax department and
auditors to determine proper
segregation of direct costs from
indirect costs
-
Manage the Cost Accounting Systems
model, provide submissions to
government agencies and provide
audit support
-
Work
independently and consult with
public sector Cost Accounting
Systems Team member(s)/management on
more complex issues
-
Contribute to a positive
collaborative working environment by
building solid relationships with
team members, cross-functional
colleagues and customers and uses
networks to achieve results

Understand assignment instructions
and apply them following standard
operating procedures

Seek
approval from supervisor when
deviation from standards are
required
-
Calculate and review monthly and YTD
labor rates, fringe, overhead, and
G&A rates
-
Assist in the preparation of annual
incurred cost submissions
-
Sample and review expenses for
exclusion of unallowable costs
-
Review and report significant
changes identified during monthly
and YTD analysis of budgeted vs.
actual rates and institute changes
when warranted.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill
