Job Summary:
The
Manager, Accounting II
is responsible for managing the monthly,
quarterly, and year-end close for
portions of the global legal entities.
He/she will perform review of Balance
Sheet account reconciliations and
underlying processes with specific focus
on Fixed Assets, CIP, ARO,
Restructuring, and Leases; recommend and
implement process improvements and
procedures.

The
Manager, Accounting II will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:

Responsible for Global Fixed Asset
Ledgers – multiple legal entities
-
Oversee/review Balance Sheet Account
Reconciliations and ensure timely
resolution of reconciling items
-
Oversee preparation of quarterly and
annual audit schedules
-
Interface with external and internal
auditors
-
Oversee and coordinate timely
month-end close within area of
responsibility
-
Responsible for recommendation and
implementation of improvements and
changes to accounting controls,
processes, and procedures
-
Work
with departments external to
accounting to ensure integrity of
accounting controls, processes and
procedures, SOX compliance
-
Special projects as assigned by
Director
-
Participates in integration of
acquired companies
-
Participates in Global and regional
project teams
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill
For Manager, Accounting II Job
-
Working knowledge of SOP 98-1, SFAS
143, and SFAS 13
-
Wide
knowledge and understanding across
all related functional disciplines
-
Ability to prepare proposals to
senior management regarding
financial implications of proposed
tactical plans and suggests
contingency plans/trade-offs for
mitigating risks
-
Ability to provide leadership within
functional area
-
Ability to participate with other
managers to achieve corporate
accounting plans and objectives
-
Ability to make decisions on
administrative or operational
matters and ensure the operations'
effective achievement of objectives
-
Ability to serve as a consultative
business partner to client groups on
accounting business issues,
integrating technical
expertise/experience combined with
the client's business objectives to
drive effective solutions
-
Ability to take the lead in
developing and proposing solutions
which not only affect immediate
accounting operations, but other
functional areas, and potentially
affect company-wide operations

Minimum 5 years management
experience.
