Senior Accounting Leader will
demonstrate accountability for
functional, business, and broad company
objectives; integrate and develop
processes that meet business needs
across the organization, both
domestically and internationally, manage
complex issues within functional areas
of expertise, research technical
accounting literature and provide
applicable guidance, be involved in
long-term planning, and contribute to
the overall business strategy. Job
Description:
The
Senior Accounting Leader will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:

Ensure the integrity of the general
ledger and consolidation process
-
Complete period-end accounting
closing processes
-
Accurately and timely complete
account reconciliations
-
Perform timely completion of
assigned Data Requests (DR) to
Corporate
-
Perform financial analysis on
balance sheet accounts to ensure
complete and accurate financial
reporting
-
Perform annual company internal
controls reviews for specific areas,
documenting process, risks and
controls, and mitigation procedures
as necessary
-
Research technical accounting
literature and company policies to
provide application guidance on
accounting issues
-
Drive
process improvement and efficiency
gains
-
Set
up new general ledger accounts,
product lines and related accounting
values
-
Lead
an organization comprised of various
levels of accounting personnel and
maintain an effective financial
system and provide information
necessary to perform controllership
responsibilities
-
Provide guidance and counsel to
subordinate employees
-
Provide technical direction to
assigned organization
-
Act
as liaison to various stakeholders
within the company
-
Advise and counsel management on
financial issues
-
Recommend and record necessary
accounting adjustments
-
Review proposed contracts
recommending adjustments as
necessary to ensure compliance and
maximum financial benefit
-
Ensure compliance with regulatory
requirements, review, and recommend
changes.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill

Familiarity with general ledger
account structure

Familiarity with Hyperion and/or
Oracle
-
Strong communication skills; ability
to clearly communicate information
and deliver messages effectively
verbally and in writing

Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For Senior
Accounting Leader Job

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or
Finance
-
Six
years experience in public
accounting firm of national repute
and industry experience
-
Certified Public Accountant or
Master's of Business Administration.
