Job Summary:
The
Staff Accountant I, News Accounting will
review and monitor the accounting
records for both domestic and
international business units and
assigned cost centers to ensure
reasonableness and compliance with
Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
(GAAP) as well as corporate policies and
procedures.

The Staff
Accountant I, News Accounting will
perform all or some of the following Job
description:

Prepare complex journal entries
-
Compile and review allocations for
various News business units
-
Prepare accruals and variance
analyses for month-end close
-
Complete balance sheet
reconciliations
-
Review and approve accounts payable
transactions
-
Assist in the preparation of
quarterly and annual financial
packages
-
Resolve accounting
issues/discrepancies, regular
interaction with clients and
completing ad hoc analyses.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill
