Job Summary:
The
Staff Accountant II is
responsible for general accounting
duties for all Company Affiliates. Job
Description:
The Staff
Accountant II will perform all or some
of the following Job description:

Support monthly and quarterly
closing
-
Process, and prepare standard
journal entries
-
Prepare financial statements, cash
flow and sales reports, and use tax
returns and departmental
reconciliations
-
Maintain the books and records;
assist in the administration of all
Company Affiliates
-
Responsible for calculation,
maintenance and monitoring of
amortization of prepaid expenses,
standard journal entries and
miscellaneous accruals and
receivables
-
Responsible for general accounting
duties including fixed assets,
investments, other real estate
owned, processing of facilities
related
funding requests and interface
tables Reporting Activities
-
Assist in preparation of financial
reports for Board of Directors and
other recurring management reports
-
Fulfillment of periodic
reporting/data requests for the
Financial Reporting department,
auditor requests, etc.
-
Prepare financial statements for
certain Company Affiliates
-
Responsible for the maintenance of
the weekly and monthly detail
-
Perform OREO reporting using the
Microsoft Access reporting
application
-
Prepare quarterly fixed asset
reports and OREO cash flow reports
for all Affiliates
-
Responsible for monitoring the
completion of all departmental
reconciliations and ensuring that
all stale outstanding items are
followed
through timely

Review of Monthly Operational
Reports and address any questions or
concerns
-
Review and approve the daily Due
From Bank reconciliations and
support Accounting Clerks in
resolving any issues when applicable
-
Review and approve certain recurring
transactions
-
Review and approve the
reconciliation of the Recap of Retro
items to ensure backdated general
ledger entries have been processed
correctly
-
Provide input to the annual review
of the Accounting Clerks.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill
For Staff Accountant II Job
-
3-5
years accounting experience in
banking or related industry
-
Advanced PC skills with Microsoft
Office (Word, Excel and Access)
-
Excellent verbal and written
communication skills.
Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For Staff
Accountant II Job

Bachelor's degree in Accounting,
Finance or Business Administration
-
CPA
designation desirable, but not
required.
