Temporary Trust Accounting Assistant

Job Summary:

The Temporary Trust Accounting Assistant is responsible for providing operational support to trust company accounts; finalizing security trades, processing receipts, distributions and system daily downloads, as well as recording outside custody entries.

Job Description:

  • Reconcile outside custody statements to Company’s internal trust accounting system

  • Establish security records as needed on the trust accounting system

  • Responsible for recording disbursement transactions, receiving income, and processing trades and various types of other securities transactions

  • Daily check and ACH processing and bank deposits

  • Reconcile incoming and outgoing cash for each bank on a daily basis

  • Reconcile main suspense account for each bank on a monthly basis

  • Process and mail client statements

  • Provide continuous review of processes to ensure compliance with regulatory/audit requirements.

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Temporary Trust Accounting Assistant Job

  • Ability to take on multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Strong time management skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • Prior trust or securities business experience

  • At least one year of general accounting experience

  • Must be proficient with MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
     

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Temporary Trust Accounting Assistant Job

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
