Accounting Analyst will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:

The
Accounting Analyst will perform accounting processes
and controls
-
Partner with business
owners and external vendors to
understand the underlying business
processes to insure that appropriate
internal controls are in place and that
the business activity is recorded in
accordance with GAAP
-
Identify and resolve the accounting and
control issues related to business and
process changes
-
Record journal
entries and ensure the accuracy of
information through monthly analysis and
reconciliation of assigned balance sheet
accounts and analysis and variance
research for the related income
statement accounts
-
The
Accounting Analyst will assist with review and coaching of
junior accounting staff in coordination
with Accounting Management
-
He/She will develop tools, reporting, and metrics to
maximize investment buying, maintain
applications used in company's
purchasing process, and complete ad hoc
analysis on new investment buying
opportunities
-
Research and reconcile assigned general
ledger accounts in accordance with
company policies
-
The
Accounting Analyst will determine adjustments required and
prepare journal entries for related
account activity
-
Coordinate assigned reporting as
required related to assigned accounts
and activities
-
Proactively identify and resolve any
issues or reconciling items related to
general ledger balance sheet accounts
-
He/She will fully and completely understand and
document the business processes related
to assigned general ledger accounting
including transaction flow
-
The
Accounting Analyst will summarize and communicate processes and
the related financial activity in a
clear and concise manner
-
The
Accounting Analyst will provide guidance to the Staff
Accountants in all aspects of their work
and assist Accounting Managers in
reviewing their completed work
-
He/She will participate in training new staff
accountants in accordance with the best
practices and company standards
-
Provide decision support, financial
analysis, internal control guidance and
other support of business partners
-
The
Accounting Analyst will review and monitor accounting controls
to ensure accurate and timely financial
records
-
Lead
teams for process improvement and issue
resolution
-
The
Accounting Analyst will represent accounting as the subject
matter expert on cross functional
business projects
-
He/She will participate in cost
reduction/improvement teams as
requested
-
In
conjunction with Accounting
Management, The Accounting Analyst
will assist in the identification of
other relevant issues within the
department and participate in the
creation of innovative solutions
and/or the implementation of new
procedures.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge /
Skill For Accounting Analyst Job

The
Accounting Analyst should have 5+
years accounting experience
-
He/She should be
Certified Public Accountant or CPA
candidate
-
The
Accounting Analyst should have
Advanced Access skills, SQL
and Business Objects strongly
preferred
-
Strong understanding of GAAP and
internal controls requirements
-
The
Accounting Analyst must have good
written and verbal communications
skills
-
He/She must have strong organization skills
-
The
Accounting Analyst must have the ability to work independently and
take initiative, set priorities and

Description
Job Summary:
The
Accounting Analyst II, working with
minimal supervision, is responsible for
performing complex revenue and
receivable accounting processes and
tasks to support achievement of work
group, department, and Company
objectives.
This
position is also expected to assist in
the coordination of the monthly closing
process, identification of process
improvements and controls, development
and maintenance of appropriate
accounting procedures, records, and
interfaces.
Job
Description:
The
Accounting Analyst II will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:

Create reports and analyze results
for monthly flash meetings and
balance sheet review meetings etc.
-
Prepare and analyze the affects of
journal entries on the overall
financial statements
-
Review and approve journal entries
and ensure they accurately contain
appropriate supporting documentation
-
Review and approve account
reconciliations and ensure they
accurately reflect the account’s
balance and to ensure that
reconciling items are timely
researched and appropriately
corrected
-
Develop, maintain and/or review
reports to support analysis of
income statement and balance sheet
accounts
-
Ensure that outsourced billing
and/or accounting processes are
reconciled and properly reflected in
the FIM General Ledger
-
Develop and maintain key accounting
controls and reporting process
-
Develop and implement appropriate
accounting practices and internal
controls
-
Participate in establishing new
accounting processes and
streamlining existing accounting
processes
-
Perform analytic review of balance
sheet and P&L accounts to assist
with monthly variance reporting and
balance sheet review analysis
-
Assist with system conversion
efforts, including validation of
outputs and investigation of usual
transactions.

current technologies

Ability to effectively communicate
on the subject of accounting with
other personnel and influence
