The Customer Service Specialist performs 
various customer service duties/tasksJob Summary:

The Customer Service Specialist will be responsible for assisting customers with the purchasing process; while providing a comfortable atmosphere for the customer; and while ensuring operational accuracy of each performed transaction. 

Job Description:

The Customer Service Specialist will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Acknowledge and engage customers that approach the customer service desk

The Customer Service Specialist performs
various customer service duties/tasks

  • Enter sales transactions into the computer system with accuracy

  • Manage incoming phone calls with professionalism and tact

  • Process credit applications, while maintaining confidentiality of customer records

  • Effectively explain financing plans and other terms of sale to the customer

  • Effectively explain the terms for customer pickup or delivery

  • Recall customer information (i.e. past sales, order status, etc.) from the computer system when necessary

  • Verify the status of customer orders through utilization of Company

  • Conduct customer follow-up phone calls

  • Assist in the training/ development of new customer service employees

  • Take care of all customers through direct action or indirectly by assisting others

  • Work with other employees to attain company goals

  • Participate in focus group, safety, and other location meetings

  • Recommend other employees for commendation for achievement

  • Report violations of company policies and the misappropriation of company assets

  • Perform other related duties as assigned. 

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Customer Service Specialist Job

  • Previous customer service, call center, and/or on-line order entry experience
  • Experience handling key and/or international accounts a plus
  • Strong phone etiquette skills, verbal communications, grammatical and professional business skill sets
  • Solid computer skills (MS Office); SAP experience a plus
  • Outgoing, confident and detail oriented
  • Adept at multi-tasking, self-motivated with a strong drive to resolve issues quickly and effectively and work well within a team atmosphere.

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Customer Service Specialist Job

  • High School diploma/GED; college preferred.
