Field Engineer - Telecommunications will
perform Hot Hands technical support as
well as installation support, test and
commissioning of many various optical
and electrical platforms.Job
Description:
The
Field Engineer - Telecommunications will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
-
Perform repair, installation,
configuration, MACD and testing on
various Nortel, Fujitsu, Alcatel,
and similar products to support
customer optical and electrical,
voice and data services
-
Perform
alarming and ancillary equipment in
support of larger systems
Coordinate many activities on site
including site surveys, cabling
(electrical and optical), power, and
equipment installation
Perform
restoration activities but also
preventative maintenance and
installation activities as well.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill
For Field Engineer - Telecommunications Job

4 to
8 years of Telecommunications
experience
-
Proficient
in electronics
-
You
have Strong interpersonal skills and
facilities mentoring experience
-
Good
driving record, and ability to pass
initial and random drug and alcohol
tests
-
Computer literate and proficient in
the Windows XP and MS Office
environment
-
Ability to maintain quality
assurance metrics, strong
organizational skills and excellent
written and oral communication
skills.
Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For Field
Engineer - Telecommunications Job

Accreditation from a technical
school in telecommunications or
equivalent technical training
-
May
hold a license or certificate in the
operation and maintenance of
Fujitsu, Nortel, Alcatel or
equivalent, optical equipment.
