Director Marketing and Communications Job Description

 

 

 

Job Summary:

The Director Marketing and Communications will be responsible for creating and implementing the overall marketing and communication strategy to support Companyís programs, products and services.

Job Description:

The Director Marketing and Communications will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Working with VP of Marketing & Communications, Web Communications Manager and Marketing Manager, develop and insure effective execution of organizational marketing communication plans and strategies for all programs, products and services

  • Manage creative concept development working with agencies and internal stakeholders

  • Provide supervision to two staff members; Marketing Manager and Web Communications Manager

  • Develop and ensure effective market research utilization, including survey design and analysis

  • Design and write specific marketing and communication deliverables in-house, including print copy, email promotions, external presentations, and website content

  • Manage overall brand integration and corporate identity

  • Build strategic marketing plans and promotional message platforms for Society programs, products and services

  • Manage measurement and reporting of marketing programs/tactics to determine the success of each.   

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Director Marketing and Communications Job

  • Seven or more years of Marketing experience. Experience working with physicians and allied professionals
  • Understanding of healthcare industry, cardiovascular experience is a plus
  • Demonstrated depth of experience in developing strategic marketing plans
  • Demonstrated depth of experience in market research development and application
  • Five years of experience with direct management of staff
  • Depth of experience with e-marketing and web
  • Depth of experience in writing and editing marketing collateral, grant proposals, key messages and talking points
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Budget and staff management experience
  • Project management experience.

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Director Marketing and Communications Job

  • Bachelorís degree, preferably in Marketing.
