Job
Description:
The
Occupational Health Nurse I will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
-
Perform initial and annual health
screens
-
Review pre-employment health
history, assess health status as it
relates to physical demands of
particular job and fitness for duty
-
Determine necessity for follow-up
with Occupational Health Physician
-
Provide initial immunizations as
required by regulatory agencies and
Infection Contorl policies
-
Obtain vital screens advising
managers of safety concerns
-
Provide counseling for health
maintenance/improvement
-
Review side effects of vaccines
-
Determine need for respiratory
physical evaluation, flight physical
or audiogram
-
Provide medical evaluation forms or
make appointments as indicated
-
Provide tuberculosis information
-
Perform TB skin test or orders x-ray
depending on history/symptoms
-
Order
lab work after assessing individual
needs.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge /
Skill For Occupational Health
Nurse I Job
-
Two
years of experience in General
Medical/Surgery, Public Health,
Infection Control
-
Occupational Health experience.
Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For
Occupational Health Nurse I Job
-
Associate college degree in Nursing,
with current NCRN licensure.
