Job Summary:
The
Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology is
responsible for providing comprehensive
nursing care to patients having
procedures in Diagnostic Imaging, in
accordance with the hospital and
department established policies and
procedures, and the physician's orders.

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill
For Registered Nurse -
Interventional Radiology Job
-
One year RN experience in an acute
hospital setting, plus an additional
one year of ICU-level critical care
or two years ER nursing experience
(at least one year trauma room)
-
VIR experience must be within 2
years; ICU and ED experience must be
within 2 years.

Demonstrated mature judgment,
initiative, and proficiency in
nursing skills
-
Ability to work without direct
supervision
-
Profound knowledge in physical
assessment, aseptic techniques, IV
skills and universal precautions
-
Immense knowledge and skills
necessary to provide care patients
with consideration of aging
processes, human development stages
and cultural patterns in each step
of the care process.
