Description:
The Staff
RN will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
-
Provide direct patient care for
assigned patients and assist in the
care of other patients as needed
-
Perform all technical aspects of
dialysis procedures
-
Assess patients’ response to
dialysis therapy and make
appropriate adjustments and
modifications to the treatment plan
as indicated or directed by the
supervisor or as prescribed by the
Physician
-
Assess patient pre, interim, and
post dialysis and document findings
-
Administer medications as ordered to
assigned patients
-
Responsible for assessing
educational needs of patient and
educating the patient and family
regarding end stage renal disease,
dialysis therapy, diet and
medications.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge /
Skill For Staff RN Job
-
one-year medical-surgical nursing
experience
-
Hemodialysis experience preferred
but not required
-
ICU
experience preferred
-
Ability to assist in lifting
patients and equipment
-
Ability to provide coverage at area
facilities during times of short
staffing or as required.
Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For Staff RN Job
-
Current appropriate R.N. licensure
-
Graduate of an accredited School of
Nursing
-
Successful completion of a training
course in theory and practice of
hemodialysis
-
Successful completion of CPR
Certification.
