Job
Description:
The
Staff Nurse/CT/Float will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
-
Maintain an environment of safety
for patients, self and others and
support patient safety initiatives
-
Assess patient's condition,
including biophysical, psychosocial,
age specific needs, and safety needs
-
Document patient's status according
to unit specific and nursing
division policies and procedures
-
Develop an individualized plan of
care utilizing the nursing and
medical diagnosis
-
Collaborate with other health care
team members in formulating plan
-
Implement the nursing plan of care
on assigned patients
-
Evaluate patient's status, nursing
instructions, appropriateness of the
nursing plan of care, and outcomes
of the care provided
-
Initiate a patient education plan
according to the individualized
needs of the patient, as prescribed
by Physician and/or hospital
procedure, including patient and
family instruction as well as
discharge planning
-
Participate in performance
improvement and quality improvement
activities
-
Adhere to the American Nurses
Association Code of Ethics
-
Recognize, support, and utilize
evidence based nursing practices.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill

Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For Staff
Nurse/CT/Float Job

Diploma, Associate's degree (A.A.)
or Bachelor's degree (BSN) from an
accredited school of Nursing
-
Registered Nurse (RN)/ Current NC
Licensure or holding temporary
license pending endorsement in NC
-
BLS
certification through the American
Heart Association.
