The Tele-Health Nurse will perform all or some of the following Job description:

• Use nursing best practices to provide telephonic nursing support within licensure guidelines, Nurse Practice Act, and program requirements

• Provide care to individuals or defined patient populations through the use of telecommunications in accordance with computer-based protocols and guidelines

• Use the defined process, adhere to nursing standards, company policies and shared principles when providing clinical assessments and health education

• Use nursing processes to identify patient care needs, risk and safety issues, educational opportunities, and appropriate health care referrals

• Process calls based on Quality Management guidelines

• Demonstrate compliance with all manufacturer and product specific regulations.

• Basic computer skills

• Ability to communicate via telephone with members/customers and provide good customer service

• Good listening skills

• Ability to demonstrate professional oral and written communication

• Ability to apply ICARE principles to all aspects of the job

• Ability to demonstrate sound clinical judgment in accordance with Nurse Practice Act

• Ability to make decisions that adhere to policy using basic critical thinking skills

• Self-motivated

• Ability to ask for assistance and guidance

• Ability to adapt to change

• Ability to effectively manage time.

• Bachelor's Degree
• Current RN license in good standing and a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience.
