Receptionist - Security Job Description

 

 

 

Job Summary:

The Receptionist and Security Aide will be responsible for providing general security for facility by greeting and screening visitors.

Job Description:

The Receptionist and Security Aide will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Greet visitors in a customer friendly manner while identifying visitor status

  • Screen visitors and grant access to upper floors as appropriate

  • Following Corporate procedures, issue and mange temporary security cards

  • Refuse access to unauthorized visitors

  • Maintain a log of visitor traffic

  • Prepare summary reports relating to visitor activities

  • Document any visitor related incidents as necessary

  • Communicate with building employees to verify/authorize visitor access to departments

  • Communicate with Security Department and/or local authorities as necessary to manage unauthorized visitors

  • Communicate clearly and establish/maintain cooperative relationship with visitors

  • In support of Corporate Security, monitor designated security cameras

  • Monitor service tickets related to security and update where necessary

  • Prepare documents and report as requested

  • Assist with security badge audits when requested

  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned

  • Sort mail for the local facility for pickup

  • Maintain professional working relationships with Security Department and Security Operations Center staff

  • Maintain professional working relationships with all Company employees. Interact with employees in a friendly and helpful manner.

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Receptionist and Security Aide Job

  • 1-3 years of customer service experience
  • Physical security experience desired
  • Experience interacting with visitors/customers in a stressful environment highly desired
  • Basic knowledge of corporate environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision
  • Ability to verbally control a situation and re-route potentially dissatisfied customers to an appropriate location
  • Basic computer skills desired
  • Ability to view computer screens for extended periods of time.  

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Receptionist and Security Aide Job

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
