Description:
The
EP Practice Scheduler will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:

The
EP Practice Scheduler will be
responsible for supporting the EP
Practice and patient by providing
services such as scheduling, database
management, patient/department support,
and unit-specific tasks.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge /
Skill For EP Practice Scheduler Job

The
EP Practice Scheduler should demonstrate
typing skills and computer literacy.
Typing/keyboarding 25-30 wpm at a
minimum
-
Possess
knowledge
of medical terminology
Good
customer service skills (to include
telephone etiquette) to effectively
communicate and interact with
physicians, office staff, and personnel
from other departments during day to day
and stressful situations
The
EP Practice Scheduler should have the
ability
to work independently, cooperatively,
and with minimal supervision with
members of the health care team
Possess
ability
to use effective time management to set
priorities, perform job related
responsibilities and respond quickly to
changing and conflicting needs
The
EP Practice Scheduler must be
Attentive
to details and have the ability to
perform work accurately, often changing
from one task to another with loss of
efficiency or composure
He/She
should possess
effective
critical thinking skills, i.e.,
analytical, problem-solving,
decision-making, prioritizing, time
management, etc.
The
EP Practice Scheduler should have the
ability
to read, write, speak and understand
English
Secretarial background preferred
The
EP Practice Scheduler should have
patient
care experience
He/She
should have background as
Medical
Assistant or Patient Care Associate.
Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For
EP Practice Scheduler Job

school diploma or equivalent

Completion of formal coursework in a
healthcare program, i.e. Medical
Assistant or Patient Care Associate
