Job Summary:
The
Call Center Receptionist Scheduler will
be responsible for greeting patients on
the telephone and completing the
Scheduling/Messaging process. Job
Description:
The
Call Center Receptionist Scheduler will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
He/She
will maintain statistics for the
department and physicians in the
department, creating new patient
accounts, and completing department
reports and bump lists
May also
be asked to perform training of new
employees as well as Physician Schedule
Changes
The
Call Center Receptionist Scheduler will
schedule
appointments or take messages for
approximately 100-110 patients per day
He/She
will
schedule
appointments or take messages for
approximately 100+ Physicians in the
following departments: Internal
Medicine, Ob/Gyn, Family Practice,
Cardiology, Nephrology, Neurology,
Oncology. This includes scheduling or
taking messages for off-site care
centers.

Scheduler Job

The
Call Center Receptionist Scheduler must
have at least 1 year of experience
working in a medical facility with
direct patient contact, (either by
telephone or face to face)

Knowledge
of computer systems and their software
applications

Understanding of basic anatomy and
medical terminology
-
The
Call Center Receptionist Scheduler
should have
an
understanding of health insurance
guidelines
-
Possess
the ability
to learn how to operate office equipment

Ability
to assess patients' acuity level and to
determine appropriate action

The
Call Center Receptionist Scheduler
should
be able
to read, write, and verbally communicate
in English

Possess
the ability to communicate
professionally, calmly and effectively
with all customers in a medical office
environment

Minimum Education Requirements /
