Job
Description:
The
Installation Scheduler will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
-
The
Installation Scheduler will maintain
contact with customers throughout the
installation process
-
Daily
communicate with branch on work order
(jobs) in queue
-
Handle
multiple branches for installation
-
The
Installation Scheduler will work with
National Account Manager (NAM) and
National Account Program Mgr (NAPM) on
jobs and scheduling
-
Work with
field Program Managers (PM) on jobs and
scheduling
-
Schedule
technicians who are assigned to
installation projects
-
Communicate with Installation
Technicians, providing answers to
questions as well as accepting
information
-
The
Installation Scheduler will provide
reports on the status of projects to
Managers, as required
-
Provide
first contact with customer when job is
booked
-
Manage
assigned projects according to the
project specifications and serve as
company liaison to the customer
-
The
Installation Scheduler will maintain
positive customer relations by
communicating well, maintaining a
positive attitude, delivering to
customer requirements, being timely,
efficient, effective and continually
looking for ways to improve quality
-
Communicate with appropriate departments
regarding customer complaints that could
develop into product issues, customer
dissatisfaction or major product
failures
-
The
Installation Scheduler will review job
contract specifications and obligations
and coordinate with engineering and job
supervision, job progress, completion
dates, equipment delivery dates and
establish schedule of installation
He/She
will notify the engineer of schedule
requirements for drawings, equipment and
any changes in pre-established schedules
Contact
the contractor or subcontractor on
supervised jobs to determine job
schedules, equipment need dates and
approximate completion date
The
Installation Scheduler will
supply
information on adds or extras to
appropriate authority as needed on
assigned jobs
Prepare
work schedule and turn it over
He/She
will
maintain
knowledge of all booked systems jobs
that require supportive efforts to
assure proper coordination of activities
in meeting target date of installed
systems
Maintain
Company property and documentation in
accordance with established policies;
handle proprietary information in the
prescribed manner; Adhere to and support
SCSS policies and procedures including
all safety requirements
The
Installation Scheduler will
keep
abreast of changes and new developments
in product and installation techniques
Attend
and complete training programs as
requested
The
Installation Scheduler will
perform
other assignments as directed by manager
in support of the operation.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge /
Skill For Installation Scheduler Job
-
The
Installation Scheduler should possess
skills or experience with personal
computers, including electronic e-mail,
personal scheduling, word processing and
electronic spreadsheets skills
-
He/She
should have working knowledge of SBN
-
He/She
must be able to schedule a work orders
and assign technicians
-
The
Installation Scheduler should
be able
to work with Branch on coordination of
installations
-
He/She
must
have the
ability to remain positive,
constructive, and productive under
conditions of urgency, ambiguity, and
uncertainty (e.g., shifting priorities,
and crises)
-
The
Installation Scheduler must be able to
remain
calm and constructive when faced with
angry, frustrated, or otherwise
emotional customers or others
-
He/She
should be able to provide technical
guidance and support of
mechanical/electrical controls and
security/computer systems for all size
jobs with minimum supervision
-
2-3 years
related mechanical, technical and HVAC
experience preferred
-
Possess a
minimum of one year of computer training
and is capable of demonstrating the
ability to use test instruments
-
The
Installation Scheduler must possess
communication skills sufficient to deal
with customers, tradespeople and Company
associates
-
He/She
must be fluent in the use of trade terms
and industry standards
-
Must work
closely with assigned branches and
follow established processes
-
The
Installation Scheduler should have the
ability
to prioritize and schedule technicians
schedules
-
Work with
Program Managers to meet customers
requirements
-
He/She
should have the
ability
to assist in driving revenue
-
The
Installation Scheduler should have
knowledge
of commonly-used concepts, practices,
and procedures within the security
industry.
Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For
Installation Scheduler Job

High
School or Equivalent
-
Vo-Tech
technical education; Bachelor's Degree.
or equivalent industry related
experience.
