Job Summary:
The
Master Scheduler will oversee and manage
the Master Schedule. He/She will
demonstrate accountability for
functional, business, and broad company
objectives.
The
Master Scheduler will integrate and
develop processes that meet business
needs across the organization, manage
complex issues within functional area(s)
of expertise, be involved in long-term
planning, and contribute to the overall
business strategy. Job
Description:
The
Master Scheduler will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
He/She
will load customer sales orders into
production master schedule via MRP
Interface
with Program Management and Engineering
to develop, track and update detailed
Integrated Project Plans covering all
aspects of NPI and technology
development
The
Master Scheduler will
interface
with Project Team and Supply Chain to
schedule and track production
Interface
with the Logistics team to help ensure
on-time delivery
Drive
process improvements and support Black
Belt quality leaders in analyzing Six
Sigma Data
Help
manage inventories to eliminate and
prevent excess and inactive materials
The
Master Scheduler will
drive
accurate manufacturing forecasts
Develop
global master production schedules to
optimize service level, inventory, and
resource utilization via level loading
where possible
Coordinate with Operations team to
manage materials and capacity
constraints
The
Master Scheduler will
coordinate consistent handoff of
planning information to production and
procurement
Analyze
data to identify and implement process
improvements
Monitor
the Sales and Operations Planning
Process
The
Master Scheduler will
support
New Product Introduction and product
transfers
Track,
analyze, report and improve pertinent
KPIs
Provide
feedback to inquiries regarding ECDs and
ECD improvements between customer and
supplier
The
Master Scheduler will
communicate misalignments between
customer need dates and manufacturing
ECD to initiate dialog between customer
and supplier
Maintain
shop calendar integrity
The
Master Scheduler will
strive
for overall order-book integrity.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge /
Skill For Master Scheduler Job

The
Master Scheduler must have a complete
understanding of planning principles,
theories and concepts as well as ability
to understand accounting and
manufacturing systems in a research or
production environment and to apply
advanced planning tools and techniques
He/She
should have the ability to read,
interpret and explain engineering
drawings
The
Master Scheduler
must be
customer focused
He/She
must possess the ability to develop and
communicate new concepts and apply them
accurately throughout an evolving
environment
Ability
to organize, schedule and coordinate
work phases
The
Master Scheduler must have the
ability
to determine the appropriate approach at
the project level and provide innovative
solutions to a range of moderately
complex technical problems
He/She
should have
organization skills to maintain flow of
work within the unit
The
Master Scheduler should possess
strong
interpersonal, verbal and written
communication skills to interface with
internal employees and external
representatives and to accurately
document, report and present
Possess
knowledge
of computer operations and applications
and word processing and spreadsheets
The
Master Scheduler must be able
to work
both independently and lead in a team
environment
He/She
should have
the
ability to work extended hours as
required.
Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For
Master Scheduler Job

The
Master Scheduler should possess
Bachelors degree in Business
Administration with an emphasis in
Planning, Engineering, Production
Control or a related discipline and six
or more years progressive experience in
planning, scheduling, budgeting and
performance measurement
-
May
substitute equivalent experience in lieu
of education.
