Patient Appointment Scheduler Job Description

 

 

 

Job Summary:

The Patient Appointment Scheduler will be responsible for answering call center phones for medical center clinic and directing calls to nurses, physicians, and clinic staff as appropriate.  

Job Description:

The Patient Appointment Scheduler will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • The Patient Appointment Scheduler will coordinate clinic appointments

  • Coordinate referrals to outside facilities

  • Assist in creating and maintaining the database.

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Patient Appointment Scheduler Job

  • The Patient Appointment Scheduler must have the ability to handle high call volume and multi-task
  • Ability to perform appointment scheduling
  • Good interpersonal and computer skills
  • The Patient Appointment Scheduler should have strong customer service skills
  • Clear Criminal Background Check
  • He/She should have one year Ambulatory Service Rep experience
  • The Patient Appointment Scheduler should demonstrate strong Customer Service skills
  • Excellent Data Entry skills
  • The Patient Appointment Scheduler should be proficient in MicroSoft Office Suite Applications.

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Patient Appointment Scheduler Job

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Bilingual Spanish Speaking.
